Lawtrades is recruiting experienced legal professionals to help evaluate and improve advanced AI systems. You will translate real-world legal experience into challenging tasks, assess AI-generated legal work, and establish standards for accurate, well-reasoned responses.
What you’ll do
• Design sophisticated legal tasks based on realistic professional scenarios.
• Develop detailed grading rubrics for legal analysis.
• Evaluate and rank AI-generated work for accuracy, clarity, completeness, professional appropriateness, and use of relevant authorities.
• Write exemplary legal analyses and corrective explanations.
• Test tasks against AI models, identify subtle failure modes, and revise based on expert feedback.
Who will excel
Hands-on legal practitioners from litigation, corporate or transactional practice, contracts, compliance, regulatory work, intellectual property, in-house legal, or legal operations. Strong analytical writing, close attention to detail, comfort with technology, and availability for 30–40 hours weekly are essential.
Paid assessment
Candidates complete a paid 3–4 hour legal skills assessment before selection. The assessment pays a $240 flat fee regardless of the final decision. AI or LLM assistance is not permitted during the assessment.
